Paul,
I would jam on that guitar! Especially in a show! More importantly. . a Psychedelic show!

Paul - I love it!! I would make me high just watching the person playing it!
Was stunned by the new Rickenbacker forum! Don't know what can be accomplished beyond this?

Patrick, I just sent this thread over to the webmaster so he could enable your account. I do see your registration and it was just waiting for validation. Your message was obviously spam trapped, RBL'd, or otherwise diverted. Anyway, a note to
[email protected] will be all that's necessary for any user to be validated if the automated message is not received.
Going along with Joey's comment, there will always be a place for both forums. There are many things that can be said and done in a private forum that won't fly in a corporate environment. Conversely, there's some official things that we can do that aren't permissable on a private forum.

I can't register either. Or at least it doesn't recognize my user name/password. I'll send an email to the webmaster

i've been posting comments that Rickenbacker don't seem to like. seems like they are censoring their site...

If that's happening then I guess that's their perogative. Didn't mention Fender, Gibson or Gretsch, did you, Kelly??

I mentioned the "others" (in that no name manner) and they did not censor me. YET

Kelly was just a bit too creative linguistically for us corporate Americans, even though the Anglo Saxonism in question is well known in these parts.
Kelly, post it here and see if the Canadians have a different take on it.
As far as mentioning other brands, we had already decided to be quite tolerant of their mention, except that we won't allow any product or person to be disparaged. We've also drawn the line as far as certain products or situations with which we have pending legal issues and have looked at such posts on a case by case basis.
In any case, I'm sorry to see this dragged over here.

John,
Your new site is the topic of discussion because it is very good. So is your forum. Ric having different etiquette rules should come as no surprise to any one. It will sort its self out over time and we will all get comfortable with the boundaries.
Not sure if Kelly can say anything much to offend us Canadians. We like our friends from Oz are pretty thick skinned. Water off a ducks back as they say. Any way keep up the good work.

Well, it is Rickenbacker's site, not an independently-run one. Language standards are up to them, and like Peter's attention to this site and the sort of "gentlemen's agreement to be gentlemen" which prevails here, I would rather see that on any Forum than the nasty, negative trashy stuff that seems to have taken over alt.g.r (you know who I mean.)
That was all one sentence.
