Dane, what distinguishes us Neo-Luds from the Orthodox's are that we have absolutely no thought process behind our beliefs, the Orthodox Luddites had them even though no one could make any sense of them, so we have just dispensed with useless thought. We just plain don't like anything post 1950 (unless of course it suits our agenda, we will then make allowances and even downright contradict ourselves especially when it comes to making money). We want to bring the material world back to the 1950's, why? you ask? Beats me, but that's what our fearless leader wants and what single V wants we want! Ow! I just felt my right knee jerk!
We don't believe in intelligent creation of Rickenbackers because that takes thought, my oldest Ric was made in 1972, that was the first day of the company, my next one was made in 1978, that was the next day the company was open etc. I have 6 Rickenbackers, the company has been open 6 times since 1972, period. I am a compassionate Neo-Lud I am compassionate to myself and my beliefs, we accept donations of money (only large ones) and Rickenbackers at [email protected]

I have special privledges from Peter! Image

Actually, these photos fit within the allowed maximum. I just set the image size so that the longest side is 500 and let the smaller one resize proportionally.

Does the thread title fit you emotions regarding the picture size?

I was at POTR today and I concur with Dave Pascoe. I saw two 4003 Blue Boys there...one was powder blue, as most other BB's I've seen, and the other had such a green tint that I thought it was a pale SG! I looked at them side-by-side...they were so different. I asked Chris C. if it was a faded SG and he said no, it's a new BB. It was nice...I almost bought it!

Dave, you are correct, sir!

...which underscores my main point. You can't judge color from ANY sort of photo.

And, it's difficult to judge colors from memory, too, so having the other, earlier production BB there to look at and compare with, settled the score.

Now the only question is how the Green Boy got that way.
