Brian and Stan: I think in my case, "stuffed" would be more apt than "seasoned"!

Re: the two jacks, Ambrose, one is stereo (one channel per pickup) and the other mono.

By all means do your reading, but:

I want you to look into my eyes..... you're getting drowsy..... very drowsy....you're now in a deep sleep. When I snap my fingers you will be wide awake but in extreme pain. The pain will lessen with your first Rickenbacker, ease some more with your second, and so on..........

SNAP!

"So, ok. This is getting weird ..... is this what happens to a Rickenbacker owner? Even before he has one?"

I don't own one yet either, and i'm constantly changing my mind as to which one i wanna get....First the 330...then 360....now 325...sigh, just wait until you have to choose between colours!

Sorry, Ambrose and Sam. Don't be deterred by my mad ramblings...... Rickenbackers actually make you become more sane with each one. Imagine what I was like before I owned four of them!! Image

Sam, don't sweat too much on which one to get first. You and I both know it will only be the FIRST. Get the others next!

Ok then,
That was trip. I went to Willcutt and checked out the 360/12 FG they have.

I really am beyond words at this minute but I'll try to speak.

I let the 360/12 take a few minutes to understand my being. Her bouquet was intoxicating. I think she likes me. You know, I just get torn up over things like this.

I expected a bit more weight but was pleasing surprised by her lightness. Her neck was extremely smooth and receptive to my hand. I played her a couple of minutes ala unplugged; just to get the feel of her. The tech at the store said how awesome she is. He asked If I wanted her plugged in. Of course, I said yes.

We walked down the aisle and he said he had a Vox AC30 to work with. So he plugged her in and jeezzz-ul-crimany, she came to life. I did a quick TTT intro, held her for a couple minutes, sighed and gave her back.

No doubt, I'm sold. But I need to collect my thoughts, think strategy and ring the Mrs. I'm quite sure it will cost more than cash to own the 360/12!

You'll give her your heart, but she'll want your soul.

But, don't think twice, it's alright!

Great, Ambrose, and a wise choice with the 360/12, once you have it, which I'm sure you will. It kind of pulls at you and there is no getting away.

Ambrose,

I really like my Jet-Glo 620-12. Have you had the opportunity to "test-drive" on of these? They're solid bodied and have a tad more sustain and treble than the 360. Like the 360, they are a deluxe model. Good luck and keep us posted Image

Don't wanna be toooo picky, but the 620 is sort of a midline guitar. Triangle inlays and binding, yes, but the 660 has checkerboard binding. I'd consider that to be "deluxe".

I don't know guys. That 360 I played last Friday rocked my soul. I haven't played any 600 Series. My heart is on the 360. I'm calling the "Man" tomorrow. I'm, ||, that close. That close I tell ya!

And it's my birthday this coming Sunday. So what the hey. Eh? Image
