Number of copies available on e-bay.com Tim, depends how much you want to bid, the problem is the shipping charge which to some degree doubles the cost but is still cheaper than buying CD here, provided of course the final bid is not too high.

I bought the Brooks and Dunn CD w/ "Every River" just for that song (and I'm not real big on C&W)When I heard it the first time, the first thing I thought was how it would fit the Searchers.
That being said, I would propose a tune called "Looking for an Echo", from the movie of the same name. Although it's a Doo Wop piece, I think they could pull it off- killer harmonies- and thematically, it fits them like a glove.

Today I bought the "Full Western Dress" CD by The Derailers. "Just To spend The Night With You" would indeed suit The Searchers. I also detected a Hollies' influence and even the 'Fab Four' on the track.

Just to spend the night with you reminds me more of a track from "That Thing You Do".
If they were looking for a new powerful ballad, which I know they are not at this time, check out a track called "In A Perfect World by Keith Steagal, great track

Just a suggestion,
"Blue Collar Rock", written by Richmond/Ripley (if i'm not mistaken), done by the Tractors. Nice moving ballad that could have involved one of (or both) the "older" band members into leadsinging. Another one could probably be "Dream Song" by John Fogerty.
