What makes "C" a "C?"
"Courage"

"Thanks all.
Jeffrey, it's a 2000"
I mean't that Circa relates to a particular era, as in circa 1963 (c63). V63 obviously refers to Vintage 1963.

"Well, it's after B ain't it?"
I was joking. A feeble attempt at Spinal Tap Humor.

"...except for the C in the Colorado 650."
D'oH!
Shoulda known. Kinda logical, ain't it!
Jeffrey,
Double "D'oH!"
My bad.
Thanks again, all.
Really not all that confusing, unless you're a doddering ol' geezer who sure never thought he'd wind up playin' a 24 fret guitar as his number 1!
After all, I couldn't possibly fit in my spandex anymore.

So far no one's close to the real meaning. I believe there's only 4 people that really know.
However, originally it was to stand for "Collector" as in "Collector's Series" but that meaning was dropped years before the project actually began.

"Coveted"?

My guess was going to be "Custom", but maybe that's too obvious.
I know it sounds far-fetched, but possibly "Copy", since they are replicas?
Maybe we are all on the wrong track. Perhaps the "C" is taken from a non-English term?

I recall seeing photos of the C series models being shown at the Toyko Music Fair in 2001. The display signs had the word "Complete" on them.
If that is not correct, my other guess would be the initial of someone in the Hall family.

Cindy, perhaps?

No initials, no Cindy's in my family.
