Also about your question why I don't go for the '59 4000 - I'm financially giving a hand to my very good friends from the devestation in New Orleans, so I'm a bit preoccupied right now. Also plan to place some things (not instruments) on ebay for their benefit. They lost their home and ALL their personal property!

Lucky us, huh? Hanging out with basses...

Mike, that PB is very nice. Is that original LPB?

I remember when those were new and made of unobtanium.

Mike, that post about New Orleans puts things in perspective a bit. I've always wanted to go there, and never had the chance. I hope they can get it up and running to it's original glory.

Naw Paul. Although it is my absolute favorite color it is a refin. No such color offered, in my opinion, for a P-bass in 1961.

Marc - N.O. is a beautiful town and a lot of fun. Was there in 1978 for Mardi Gras. Can't imagine it is almost completely ruined!
