a '69 did not come with a horseshoe and that does look like a horseshoe off of a lapsteel ... and it does look like a poor job of hiding the bad *** bridge that used to be there ...

Yes, the Rickenbacker detectives who've saved me from making thousands of dollars in mistakes, but also enticing me to spend thousands more on quality goods. I guess it evens out, and I am grateful.

I held this bass in my hands at the Nashville store back in June-you guys are correct. A refin with the Baddass issue combined with the fact that the bass looks even worse in person led me to pass on it even though at the time they were quite willing to make a deal on it. Broke my heart-I just don't see many 69's coming down the pike anymore.
