I just ordered a 4003 wiring harness for this bass,ill fool with the original harness out of the bass[its a mess]i want to get it fully functional first,as you can see i took the pickup cover off because i play right there and this ones a player.

great refin job by the way. Doing something yourself always makes it feel closer to the heart (I didn't mean to quote rush... too much looking at rics I guess). The mapleglo 72' I am getting has been around also, but as my second ric I would never have the heart to touch it.

kjs - How did you hide the screw holes from the old bridge? I have those 4 and three other screw holes to hide. I figured I'd have to paint rather than finish due to those holes. I zoomed in on yours and I do not see them? Got a secret?

charly,I tried several different things then i just ended up using maple wood filler and a little makeup,although you can see them up close there not bad.

The wood on that bass is so nice, it looks like birds eye maple that was used of the 4002 basses.
