You guys create such intrigue, it's hard to resist jumping in with a guess, however many miles it may be from the correct answer.

I have a feeling you are referring to John Waite

Roy, I am afraid you will have to wait a bit longer. Perhaps I have too much time on my hands with this one.

I realize that you don't have a crystal ball Stan, but this is not correct. Please give it another try.

Okay, Peter, I will ask this. Did this person ever have, as a solo artist, a strong charted song? Obviously you don't have to answer but it would be of help...hint, hint.

I'll just throw this out there. Recall Derek Cymbal? I know he is Scottish but don't think it was Glasgow. But I think he died in the early '90s.

Stan, Yes. This poser is belongs to the fields of the brave I guess. As hints, every one of my responses contains a clue. He has an Irish connection, had been affiliated with JD Souther (the 60s connection here). This artist's greatest impact on the music scene would have been from 1985 to present.

Lawrence Gowan!! I would respectfully suggest unless you are North American one will not have heard of him

Roy, I sorta have to agree. As a North American I barely know who he is and it damn sure wasn't easy tracking him down as the mystery culprit.

Hey, you gotta be from Canada I guess. Gowan is globally obscure, perhaps.

I accept your respectful suggestion Roy. For those who have heard of and continue to follow Styx, however, he has earned quite a reputation.

I do, of course, beg your indulgence in allowing this Canadian content, that is outside the realm of Clough Links. I will be more careful in the future.
