Sorry, I still think the guys a jerk. He deliberately tried to "outbid" me on my 4005. An Ebay auction is one thing, but when you KNOW someone made an offer to buy a bass from a store at the asking price, then you go in and offer more, based on the info shared from the person buying it, that's just rude.

BTW, why does he want to post here anyway? To hawk those ugly guitars of his?

Yes,Marc I thought so too,but he stated a couple of things that do make sense,at the beginning of that thread your not sure if you even want it,a matter of fact you sound as though you don't,and he spoke to the owner and you spoke to a employee,he also told me once he realized what was going on he never got back to CME to follow through,as I understand they were trying to get in touch with him at that point and he didn't follow through. You know me I'm a hard cookie I wouldn't steer you wrong you know that,I'm following my gut and my gut says it was a misunderstanding,I have talked with him in depth, he has been honest and forth right, he did not have to admit any involvement in it at all,No he told you the truth.Even in a worst case scenario we all deserve a second chance, its not like he posted here everyday and was buddy, buddy with you,and remember that 71 i thought you were doing the exact same thingLOL,I chose to believe you and put it behind us.Were adults we cant hold grudges like this over over priced guitars[not yours but all of them]See what I'm posting right here is what you would be telling me.Marc your a good guy and i like you alot and i got your back but lighten up a little there just pieces of wood were talking about here.

I love Waterstone basses. Anyone into vintage styling and great tone should try them.

I regularly use two Waterstone short scale Indra basses in my 50s rock band, strung with flats they are amazing sounding!

I also have a few of the Waterstone TP 12 string basses which are fantastic instruments. I also have the Brighton 64 model with has miles of tone. Oh, and a TP 8 string bass that is killer too!

FTR, I have a Rickenbacker 4000 from 1974 in Burgundyglo, my first bass and a recently purchased 4003 from 2002 in Jetglo, another stellar instrument.
