He's been convinced by somebody to change his listing title.
He also e-mailed me again to tell me so. I had told him that if he could come up with written or photographic proof that Barth or Rickenbacker had any connection whatsoever with this kiddy axe, I would bid on it, since he had no bids.
His reply this time was carefully spelled and punctuated and quite polite, even I was nearly rude in my second note to him...
So I asked him what his plans were for the '67 360 hash job.
No Reply. Yet.

Paul, you're a true classic! And that "Barth" guy apparently couldn't buy a clue with a lottery jackpot win. Especially considering he paid $800+ for that '67 360.
I'd say he's still probably trying to retrain the squirrels to re-rout those pickup holes in a more professional manner.

He's cut the starting bid in half to $199.00, still 5X what it's worth...
The heading still makes reference to Rickenbacker...we'll see if it gets pulled.
He has still not replied to my query re:his plans for the '67 360.

The stray question marks are often an artifact of a non-standard email server or router in the email chain and not in general what was actually typed.
Regardless, clueless is an appropriate description.

In this case, Alan, the placement indicates a nonstandard brainwave pattern.
Oddly, I continue to receive e-mails from the seller and they grow more literate by the day.

I know this is a dead thread, but I thought I'd chime in because I have acquired this same guitar, and with some help, it's been identified. If someone else stumbles upon this thread, this info might help them.
As guessed before, it is NOT related to the Rickenbacker brand or created by anyone connected to Rick. Attached is a page from a 1970 catalog. The instrument is a Barth SIL (which I assume stands for six-in-line) Barth Feinberg catalog brand, the company was affiliated with Targ and Dinner, who were musical instrument and accessory suppliers out of Chicago.

Yes, they all came out of the same Japanese factory. I have a Sears guitar from the same time period that has Tele-esque body styling but Jaguar-esque electonics and tailpiece. It was a great starter guitar for $56.95 when I was 13 in the spring/summer of 1975. I still have it, with modified tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge, and some other mods I have done over the years to keep it playable.
