THe Gibson double neck was purchased so that 'Stairway ' could be played live.

The solo is his old Yardbirds Tele !

Intro is most likely a Gibson acoustic.
It does not sound like a Martin .And I have seen plenty of photos of early Page session work era with a Gibson .

Based on the chord I heard when I telephoned RIC last week, it would appear that they feel George defined the 12 string sound with the opening to AHDN.
