I have an August '73... just like the above, but it doesn't have the checkerboard. My March '73 does, as well as the split bridge.

I'll have to go find my TRCs... I do believe they say "Model 4001."

The back of this bass is trashed!

I hate to say it but to repaint[touch up] the back would be quite easy to do black is not hard to match.
