Yeah Mike, I totally understand... Those 381 carved edges don't appeal to me at all. I definitely appreciate the craftsmanship involved (and they do look good for what they are), I just never thought they looked that great IMO. At least not in comparison to the "real" classic designs.
Oh, I also have to say I don't really like 350's either. I love the body shape and size, but the full scale necks look way out of proportion to me. In the late '70's I used to have an old jetglo 320 (with an f-hole) and didn't know how to set it up properly and consequently it didn't get much use. It got sold to a friend who needed a guitar at the time, and it was stolen from him in short order.
These days, now that I know more, I fully understand the desireability for a full scale neck due to playability, but I'd much rather have a shortscale jetglo 325 with a Bigsby. Just for the "cool look" factor. Something like that will be my next (and last) Ric. Next time I'll already know how to deal with the set up, and I'll make myself learn how to play it properly. Just like I'm doing with my 360/12v64.
