Just as well you don't have to shave each morning - juggling a 325TQ or Comstock could be a bit tricky!

Thankfully that's one thing I don't have to struggle with each morning - gives me more time to play one of my loved ones for a while longer!! Image

I just stumbled on this thread. Aitch I sure hope that you are referring to your guitars and not something else that belongs to you.

I know how to get over that compulsion to play..........with your guitar in the morning Aitch.

Take one to work with you. Hey! If people can sit at their desk and squeeze the hell out of a little ball to relieve stress (one specifically made for that purpose) then whats the dif if you pick a guitar while you are thinking through a network issue? Works for me. Did you not say somewhere that your boss is a woman? I'll bet she would understand too.

That Aitch is Ric logic 101. LOL

I am lucky enough to have several guitars in my office and my small Line 6 amp. It's better than squeezin' a ball...

Used to have a double keyboard organ set up here, too, but it went home when I built Rickencounter III.

See Aitch I'm not nuts!! Paul has guitars in his office too. Mind you, it helps when you are the king of the castle, 'cause you get to make up the rules. LOL

Brian, you're not nuts at all!! Rickentherapy is one of the best stress relievers there is....and if you're not in a position where you can actually play one on the job, you can always pop in here for periodic "mental breaks..." But I guess I don't need to tell any of you guys that--that's what we all do all the time, right? Image

BTW, Aitch, I couldn't have said "Eeeewwwww" better myself! Image

Melissa,

Thank God that 99% of the work I do is done from my home office. I share my office with Winston and Nikita (my Shih Tzus), two Rics and my favourite Strat. There's no stress here at all!

I stop by here often for camaraderie, humour and technical advice.

Me too. I do ALL of my work from the home office and need to take FREQUENT breaks for my own sanity! Image

Yup my doggies (in the summer doggy) and my guitars keep me sane.

We are blessed you and I.

If I had a guitar at work, I would be much happier -until they fired me. My productivity would plummet. Morale would certainly be through the roof.

I couldn't survive the day without half to one hour with one of my Ricks in the morning, Brian - it's like that first mug of coffee - ritual!!

My boss (unfortunately a bloke) would go apoplectic should I take one to the office.... he's already jacked off because of the time I spend on the forum! And you should see his eyes roll up when yet another guitar is delivered to the office!!

Luckily I spend about 30% of my time at clients' premises (note correct use of apostrophe) and a few of them love to see my guitars. In fact, I have a client down south who plays a bit himself, so when I go down there every week I pack one or two of my Ricks, a coupla picks and my little Roland Cube 30. I've even managed to impress one or two of the customer service staff!! Image

It will stop now, though - gets too hot in the boot (trunk) for the Rickenbabes!!
