John, I agree that they are identical, even though the guitars have a 20 year age gap.
The 325 was made in January of 1967. I don't know if you've heard of this one before, but it's unusual because it's not a 1964 Rose Morris guitar but yet has this type of f-hole.

Heard of it for sure, but I've never seen a pic of it. Fabulous guitar Greg! Just goes to show that there aren't any absolutes.

Did you notice that the blend knob and the toggle are swapped on the 1987? The wiring harness is upside down.

That is weird. Does it show evidence of being fiddled with? Messy solder joints?

Haven't really looked inside. Probably was flipped by one of the prior owners. I picked up this guitar during the early days of Ebay. I about dropped my jaw when I saw that F-hole.
I have another Ebay guitar from the early-mid 70s in jetglo, a 320 with the other f-hole. Sure would like to turn back the clock to those days when so many great deals were floating around.

measurements from a July '64 Rose Morris 1996 soundhole (previously referred to as 1 o'clock)
length - 131mm
max distance across middle section of hole - 17mm
The same measurements from a '58 325 with old style (previously referred to as 2 o'clock) soundhole
length - 135.5mm
across opening - 24mm
length - 131mm
