Originally sunburst finishes were an attempt to recreate the look of old violins and cellos, where the outher edges were darker than the middle. The burst on this Walnut is not too far away from that intent.

If it were mine I'd change the pickguard to laminated b/w/b/w/b, just like on a 4002. And the TRC of course.

My knowledge on vintage Rickenbackers, is non-existent......What do you guys feel is the price range for a bass like this..????? I really would like to bid on this beautiful bass!
