Originally sunburst finishes were an attempt to recreate the look of old violins and cellos, where the outher edges were darker than the middle. The burst on this Walnut is not too far away from that intent.

If it were mine I'd change the pickguard to laminated b/w/b/w/b, just like on a 4002. And the TRC of course.
