The earliest production 4002 I have ever heard of is 1977.

Jeff, It's one or the other. The 4002 or the 68. I can handle leftovers in that situation.

Hey Marc, you're right but my 4002 has some finish checking so I'm always looking to upgrade, which would then make mine available... And, I've always wanted a '60s 4001 with a horseshoe so a '68 would be great... So many basses left to own!
