Saw him last month and all he played were 2 Martin acoustics, the Epi Texan, a Les Paul, and the Hofner. From where we were sitting, I couldn't see any guitar racks at all - even with binoculars.
The only thing I'm wondering is what model of Vox amps he was using. I was going to buy a program book but didn't want to carry it around inside the arena, lest it got wrecked. For $35, I want a pristine copy. That, plus I didn't want to deal with the masses of humanity at the merchandise booths.
So I'll order one online.

I know what you mean Steve. I ordered one on line myself. They are $30 down from $60 when the tour first started.
There was no way I was paying $60 for a tour booklet.
It may have been a screw up with their webmaster, but I could swear they once had $60 listed for it.

What a load! Even at $30, that's just ridiculous...
I can see our Symphony play many times a season without paying $250 for a seat, and they give me a program for FREE!!! Not only that, but the first violinist is never featured holding an axe she has no intention of playing live...

I got my program for $25 in Portland! I could also swear the finish on his Hof was not right. The outer border was too dark and the overall finish too glossy for it to be his original!

Again, consumers ... You exercise the ultimate marketplace power. Don't buy the program if you think it's overpriced. It ain't like food or gasoline.

Good advice, Dave...I didn't buy the program. I didn't buy a ticket to the show either. Instead, I just went crazy and bought food and gasoline.

$60 at the start??? Man, I'm not enthused enough to even order a book online yet! I mean, if it was a "must have" I would've bought one at the show, or at least ordered one by now. Actually, I will get one for my wife, because this was the first time (and maybe the last) that he's ever seen him. Note to self: make it one of her Christmas presents...
We definitely enjoyed the show and it was well worth the $75 seats. No way would I have paid anywhere close to $225-on up though. Heck, we even bought gas and food and a motel room too!
Prices are relative, aren't they? First time (Wings Over America) the tix cost $7.50 ea. My second time was in the early '90's and I got a pair of tix in trade for a day of interior painting on somebody's house. No idea how much those tix cost, but it was worth it to me.
Bottom line for me has always been: it's OK to go nuts on spending sometimes - IF you can afford it without neglecting bills etc. I also think that if one wants something enough, then it's up to them to work to make it happen.

The food's already been 'processed', although I guess that doesn't mean it wouldn't fit into ebay's definition of 'merchandise'...but emptying all that gas back out of the wine bottles? What a pain...
