Not always the case Rob some of their PYE singles have fetched up to £152 on the ubiquitous e-bay.
In this instance, I would agree, probably not that valuable but to some collectors it certainly will be.

Rob: i'd suggest in some years you may make good money if you decide to sell it... however, somehow i doubt you'd want to sell it, or am i wrong?

Sheena, to be honest, I am thinking of selling. I do not have a big collection of vinyl and its just gathering dust in the loft so maybe I will.

Probably the time to sell Rob, market dipped in my for vinyl to some degree because of ebay though Beatles stuff(the rarities) still fetchs good prices.
People who would want this are probably in their fifties now so clearly 10 years down the line in my view value would be diminishing rather than increasing.
That's only my opinion of course

Roy: agree with you, but... i've just tried to imagine how rare&expensive vinyl would be 50 years from now... not sure about UK, but here, records from the 30s & 40s (listenable quality) and "bones" cost pretty much, and there are youngsters who collect them.

50 years from now Sheena , in my view, there will be no interest in vinyl in fact I doubt it will even exist.

Mmm... well, let's wait for 50 years and see... 20s vinyl costs alot today, so if somebody would manage to keep 60s vinyl in good condition... Okay, okay, i don't insist, it's only a suggestion...

You might be able to wait 50 years Sheena,most of us will have run out of time long before that.
Also Sheena on what basis do you reckon 20's vinyl costs a lot, I have been to a lot of record fairs in my time and never seen any from the 20's, must be a Russian thing.

Well Roy, it might be not "vinyl" really, may have used the wrong term, i mean records, probably made from another material actually (carbolite in fact), sorry for misleading you.
I doubt i'll be able to wait 50 years as well...
okay, i'd suggest let it be 20 years as my dad has suggested when i talked to him this evening...
