I'll look after your itinerary for the Vernon part of the trip. This is a beautiful and interesting part of the world. You'll have your pick of top quality guitars and amps to play.

As far as "inexpensive places to stay" well you'll have your own suite at our place so that wont cost you a dime. That will leave more disposable to spend on "grog" and other important things in life.

My wife and I are looking forward to your visit. If we schedule things well we may even get to take a 4.5 hour trip up to my log cabin for a little bit of fishing.

I'm not near NYC (about 90 miles north) but you'll be coming to NY during the most beautiful part of the year... the mountains are amazing in fall. Rest assured Aitch... you'll get quite the tour!

Ahh...the Dana Thomas House......I just drove by there when I was in Springfield yesterday. That is one nice house and totally worth taking the time to tour it. While in Springfield, you might want to visit Abraham Lincoln's home, which isn't too far from the Dana House. Lincoln's Tomb is also at a cememtery across town, if you are interested in that kind of thing.

I am not far from So Cal either, Howard. John Minutaglio has a collection that is well worth the trip alone -- right down your alley! I suppose that both of us would be at the next So Cal confluence anyway, but if time permits, keep it in mind. I have some historic pieces including a couple of John Entwistle's basses.

6-8 weeks!! What kind of employer do you have? Is there another job available? I am self-employeed and would fire myself for that kind of time!

Aitch, You might have some company.....at least on the trip from Melbourne to California. I have a desire to attend a US Rickenbacker confluence (preferably SoCal)and the Summer Philly Guitar show in Pennsylvania. Couple these events with the need to collect Fatboy (my 335F FG being minded by my buddy in NJ) and sufficient frequent flyer miles for a round trip, it's starting to sound like I have enough ingredients for another US holiday!

Well Aitch... if ya decide to make a stop in Russia on your way to States, you're always welcome - for a couple of beers, an excursion to Gorbushka and Georgian variant of barbecue... yum-yum...

Mike: We get 4 weeks annual leave and I have 10 weeks pro rata long service leave up my sleeve, so it's not an issue.

Seems like there are lots of possibilites, but the FLW place in Mill Run scares me - looks like Deliverance country.
