Hmm.

The "Made in America" sticker on the pickguard looks right...

The only one I saw in person (about 1994) had a pickguard just like that, two knobs and a switch. I just looked at my 1993 catalog insert for the 200 series, and the 2020 in there does also.

I guess there just aint too many of these around .. and they made 2 different versions ... all the pics I could find of 2020's were the other version ...

Correction, Jeff:

The earlier version without a pickguard would've been a 2030, not a 2020. The 2000 Series basses have the following model numbers:

Early: 2030 (standard) and 2050 (deluxe).
Late: 2020 (standard) and 2060 (deluxe).

I believe the change in model numbers took place in 1991 or 1992.

I have the guitar versions of the newer models: a midnight blue 220 and a fireglo 260.
