Jingle bells, Jangle bells, Jangle all the way....

I plan to shoot a few fireside fireglo pictures in the very near future, LOL! Image

Maybe today, if the lighting is right....

BTW, today is much less melancholy....We got a couple of inches of fresh snow and the kids are making a snow fort, hubby is puttering with the snowmobiles and getting them ready for fun, and I am going to bake a few dozen cookies while listening to Christmas music, and we plan to go out into the woods later this afternoon to cut down our tree....

This is a beautiful time to live in the North woods! Image

Sounds wonderful, Melissa. It's a bit different down here. No rain, 30c today, the bicycle is getting its pre-summer service, Burns and Ricker sesame & garlic chips with dips and beer. The lights under the eaves get tested and the plastic tree with inbuilt lights goes up later in the day......

I think you've got the better deal - a classic white Christmas. I envy you!!

Aitch, I agree; I can't imagine Christmas any other way.... The cold outside just serves to accentuate the warmth and love and joy we have inside at this happy time of year....

However, by January 2nd I'll be tired of snow and cold and wishing I were someplace warm and sunny; and by February I'll be half-crazy to feel the sun warm on my face....

Welcome Skip!

I hear you Melissa-that long stretch from early January until April. I imagine your part of the world is similar to mine in that time of the year - cold, dark, yucky with precious few holidays! This'll be a good year though as it looks like my BBR 360 will be landing sometime in January or February. What a way to break the tedium! And if it's late, then I have the expectation of it arriving to pull me through!

No fireplace either Sheena but when the BBR comes, I will curl up around the samovar!

Hi Bill. Thanx for the earlier-posted welcome. Er, uh... I don't want to sound like a total ignoramus but what is BBR? I'm figuring it's maybe a color abbreviation? I haven't combed thru all the material in this forum, yet, so I'm in the dark on some of the terminology I've been seeing.

BBR is Blueburst, the 2005 color of the year....a color I dream about.

Skip-I joined the Forum maybe half a year ago and I was felled by the abbreviations. I was GAS'ed and RIC'ed. And I didn't even know the common ones -to my face they LOL'ed me, IMHO'ed me, and left me ROTFL. And then they BBR'ed me and told me I was an SOB because I couldn't tell the difference between that and a BB. So, they FG'ed me and MG'ed me and, worst of all even JG'ed me (ASAP). They asked me to RSVP with my questions but I had to do so PDQ.

PS - don't worry it's all OK.

Welcome Skip. The scarey thing about Bill's post is that I understand it completely.

10-4! Thank you all for the 411 on the BBR. In grade school K thru 12 we learned ABC's and the 3 R's but RIC wasn't part of the curriculum! With the knowledge I receive from this Forum, I will no longer have to remain in the shadows of a music store, where they keep the sheet music and stuff. Now, I will be able to BBR, JG, MG with the best of them!! (I know....baby steps, first.) Image ---Skip

"...remain in the shadows..."

Shadow is always capitalized! It is a proper name around here! Image
