Jwilli - that kind of reminds me of icing on a cake or something. Wonder if my local baker can translate that on to some sweet, spongy goodness.

Great shot Paul! I imagine that's a real lens flare too?

Thanks Patrick, That's not a real flare. I added it later to spice it up a bit. It was a nice clear day when I took that picture. I'm trying to get another nice day so I could take a similar shot for the Rickenbacker calendar.

Jason,

If you find a bakery in the Springfield area that can make you a Ric cake, let me know, since I am also from the area and would like to have one myself.

These are great pix...whoever suggested one of these for the new Ric catalog, it was a great idea.

Brian: I used to know of a bakery in Virden, my home town, where the baker could create the most fantastic cakes. I worked there one summer. It was the fattest summer of my life. Sadly, she's long gone and I know of no ma/pa type bakery in the area anymore.

You're right, Aitch....I gotta branch out a little. Still working on my 3D of the 4080/12...in my 'spare' time.

How about sending me one of your guitars for a few weeks...just so I can take dimensions...

That's a deal! Remember, Denver's right on the way: to anywhere, from anywhere...

Here are a few more renderings, 'just for fun'...
