Naw, it just says "FREE JOHN SIMMONS". In Kanji.
I think it's somebody on the finishing line with a warped sense of humor...

The guitar has good edge shapes, each pick-up has Dimple!! And roller-bridge with bridge cover hold by slotted-bolts. Under the Accent-Vib, there are two rubber-dumper to the body like original's. And there is no "Slot" on the side of the trem-unit. Dual-truss-rods, but not in old style. Very thin top with X-bracing....
I feel it very light because of that.
Anyway...Good Guitar.

Looks great John! I can't wait for mine.
What is the serial number of that one?
Is that the one from the NAMM display?

Kevin, that one is actually in Japan. Looks mighty tempting!

And I thought you were the first to get one in the North America!
Shouldn't be much longer, I heard.

Wow, that one looks awesome. JH posted on Voxtalks that the 1996s "aren't far behind" the 325C64....it'd be cool to see some shipped out soon.

Last time I checked, the RIC site didn't show any 1996 AFG models being shipped recently, not even to Japan.

Don't want to be a troublemaker, but should this thread be under the "C" series?

Right you are Glenn. At the time the thread was started, the guitar had not been officially announced on the RIC site as a 'Vintage Series' Rickenbacker; I suppose that's why it was started here as the next probable 'C' guitar. (troublemaker

)

Being a troublemaker doesn't make you wrong Glenn.
