Can we use a Lapsteel-Pickup-magnet for the Bass?

the true purpose of a horseshoe is to limit string access and to hold a place for a high gain pickup ...

Hahahahahaha, Jeff! I would say so too, except I've never played a horseshoe so I don't know if the difference in sound makes up for effort it would take me to alter my playing style to accomodate the raised area.

You don't know what you're missing. Somebody please loan Robert a V63, CS C64, C64S or anything else with a horseshoe pickup!
