...that's true, the slots are easily filed to suit your needs. One of my StingRay5 basses has the nut slots cut so low that the B and E strings are starting to grind into the fingerboard where the fingerboard meets the nut. I'm thinking of shimming or replacing that nut.

this is the nut as it is now. Im quite pleased with my effortsImage

I made each slot the same depth as my other 4003 and my P bass.
