The only version of "Silent Night" I've heard with an Am7 is by Vince Guaraldi!

I think the Polish version has a buncha minors in it, though...

Paul...

I hope you didn't tell Juliana that her guitar was the result of a midnight raid on Ed Roman's paint closet...

Just teasing... has she been able to put it down yet?

She loves pink, being a "girly girl"...dreams of having her own band soon...

I told the elves to mix up the nicest, subtlest pink pearl possible. It has highlights of blue and violet. Not my taste, but very little girl.

She picks it up and plugs it into her VOX AD30VT every fifteen minutes or so.

Such a lovely daughter, Paul.

I wish I would have had a Vox anything at her age, or at 15, 20, 25, 30,... you get the general drift.

I know what you mean, Stan...

I started out on keyboards, and saved up $80.00 to buy a Farfisa portable reed organ. It was actually pretty cool=looking, being covered with Tolex in a nice grey color with four detachable legs. I put a microphone inside, my friend's aunt sewed a naugahyde cover, and I was good to go.

Damn, was it shrill, though. It could cut through Black Sabbath, I think...

Something like a Bandmaster (my dream amp) was so far out of reach, that I couldn't imagine it. My first guitar ('54 Tele) cost an amazing $240.00 a couple of years later. Then I had a new SG Special. It sorta grew from there as money became available...

Oh, you fared much better than I did, Paul. My first guitar, if you can call it such, was some Japanese model with more 'bells and whistles' than the dashboard off of my '65, automatic, Corvair.

The guitar was eventually tossed up in the air in the middle of a street to see what would happen to it. The result was pretty much self-explantory. The Corvair I drove through a brick wall into my neighbors swimming pool. It didn't turn out any better than the guitar.

Weird update--I managed to locate a mint example of the $80.00 Farfisa reed organ which I mentioned a few posts up. Talk about a trip down memory lane... I'll post pictures as soon as I get it cleaned up.
