The flamed back and sides on the MG one!(excuse my ignorance of Ricoustics... not like I've seen many!)
Did you buy Santa a vacation home in Acapulco or something? I only got electronic drums... I'm signing up for your course!

A perfect pair: maple/spruce jumbo and rosewood/spruce dreadnaught.

Don’t sweat it guys, your not missing anything.
YA RIGHT!!
These things are amazing.
I wish I was smart enough to record onto a MP3, but I am just mostly a bass player.
The action and the feel, reminds me of a 660. These play more like an electric than an acoustic. The 700L (Rose wood) definitely has a darker sound to it. The 700C has a warmer bass tone to it.
I like the location of the strap button, standing up, it is very comfortable. I don’t know which one I like better. I’d be hard pressed to sell just the one.
I owned some Gibson Maple “J”’s in the past. It’s the only acoustic that I can compare them against. The Ric's action blows the Gibsons out of the water. The Gibson sound was heavier and a bit louder.
Overall, I like the Ric’s 100 x’s more. Now I’m just worried about humidity. These will stay in the cases.

Get you a dampit thingy and put it in the soundhole. Also, get you a coolmist humidifier to keep in the room. And of course a hygrometer to monitor the conditions.
