Welcome Dave, beautiful bass, nice catch. How did you snag this beauty?

When you play out, what kind of rig are you running her through?
I'm just happy to be here.

Welcome Dave! Watch out for a certain bodybuilder, who lives in the same town you do, he may grab that bass from you. Image

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I used to lurk around here until financial circumstances forced me to sell my 360/CW, 381v69, 360 Ruby, 4003/s5 (Sea Foam). Well now that I am working again I figured a 4004LK was a nice subtle way to start my Rick collection back up. I have a 360 in Blue Burst on order as well.
J Gary was asking what kind of rig I use. I am using the crappiest setup you can imagine while I try to piece together the dough for a decent head to power my eden cabinets (1x15 and 2x10). It's a 15 year old Peavey TKO with ALL the control knobs broken off. I use a sans amp to make it sound something like a real amp. It gets the job done in small clubs but it sure will be nice to get a real amp again!
The 4004LK has SO much signal from those 3 pickups - it would sound good through just about anything.
Later!

Dave, you had an s5 in sea green?

Do you have the address of the person you sold it to? A couple of forumites might want to visit it, make sure it's in good hands...

Marc - Count me in on that visit! Aquiring Sea Green Rics is my weakness/sickness...
And welcome to Dave and his 4004LK! Interesting that yours is #26, whereas I got mine a couple of months before you, (also from Mike Parks), and it's #30.

Hey, Steve Wood! No more Sea Green for you! You gotta spread 'em around a little!

Yes - I had a 4004/s5 in Sea Green. Talk about rare. I think there were only a few made. That was and is a great bass. I would buy it back in a second if I had the chance!!
I am thinking of getting an Ashdown head. Haven't decided yet on the model.

Ken - I'm not falling for that one. You just want to track down the Lemmy bass. I live in the apartments back by the reservoir behind Warren Elementary. I live here with my 3 hungry pit bulls (I think one might have rabies, I'm not sure) and spend most of my spare time cleaning my guns. I'm about a mile south of that rib joint, but I have never eaten there.
If you want to check the Lemmy out in person I'll be gigging it on the 20th with my band.
