I use an Ashdown EVO II haed with one or two 2x10 cabs and it sounds just great. I play in two bands. One is a jazzy band that I use mostly just one cab with and the other is a rock band that I use both cabs and a bit of Sansamp.
I can't fault the amp. It is the bests sound since the 70's when I used a Hiwatt 100 head and a Hiwatt 2x15 cab. Since then I have used Acoustic, Peavey and Trace. IMHO the Ashdown beats all of these.

What do you guys think of the Ashdown Mag series?

The MAG cabinets seem to be okay, but the heads sound dull to me. The British-made MAG heads are quite nice, though.

I've been using Ashdown gear for nearly 4 years. Initially an ABM300, then an ABM500 which I still have. My cabs are Ashdown mini 1x15" and a 4x8" which although very compact are very loud and punchy and I can fit both in the boot - that's a "trunk" for colonial friends! - of my car.
The amps are very versatile - as well as my 4003 I regularly use 3 other basses and I can dial in an eq for each one and go with minimal tweaking.
The only minor fault I can think of is that the head could do with some on/off LEDs for the various functions but otherwise they're the dogs ********!

And the dog's ******** are good? Hehehehe . . .
Actually, just wondering; do any of the Ashdown combos or amp heads have headphone jacks? It seems pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to find anything that I can plug headphones into, other than like $80 10 watt practice amps.
