I've always preferred the finish & build on my C64 to my fg 4003 - but both are up thre in the "excellent" category so the difference is notional.

Karl, you must have tried the rare clunker. All three of my C64's feel top-notch and easily on par or better than my 4003.

I went to Motor City Music and they had 3 or 4 Rics on the wall ... the best player was the C64 ... it was a little better than the 4003 basses ... it sounded a little better and the neck was a little slimmer ... but for the price difference I will take a 4003 ...
