Well here is my belated opinion of Let It Be Naked.
I've just done a quck listen and couldn't pay a lot of attention to it, let me begin by saying that I really liked the original and it's sloppiness. I also miss the two dropped songs, which were a relic of the times.
"Get back" I think is a vast improvement, much punchier sound.
"One after 909" also is much better.
I do not like "The Long and Winding Road" at all, it sounds way too sparse and sterile to me, and I miss the too long sloppy bass notes that I insulted above in my last post, I think they cut out the bass entirely out of the chorus and left some keyboard bass in. I actually miss the woman's chorus which I never thought
I'd say.
I liked the harmonys on "Don't Let Me Down" but miss the high bass notes in the silent spaces and prefer the original more.

The remixing and remastering produced pretty debatable results. Part of this, for me, has to do with the sequencing of LIBN and part of it has to do with the material.
The GB/LIB sessions produced a few major new Beatles songs, almost all of which were written by Paul. Most of the other songs are pretty lightweight, even if they are charming. This alone makes the album a little uneven. But when you combine demo quality recordings, live tracks, and studio tracks into one jumble of an album - and then polish it with remastering - it really exposes the mess that it was.
The original LIB album seemed more comfortable with it's deficiencies, and more playful. LIBN could have achieved a similar result by including more material, such as Maggie Mae, a fuller Dig it, Fancy me Chances, and some goofing around like the early Two of Us where John and Paul sing with a Scottish accent.
Also, its strikes me as a shame they did't try harder to develop George's songs at the time. I think All Things Must Pass and Old Brown Shoe would have fit nicely with Paul's songs. Maybe it would've spurred John into coming up with more than one deccent song (Don't Let Me Down). Across the Universe doesn't count!
The Real Shame of LIBN is that everyone I know would have preferred a fleshed out Fly on the Wall disc to the LIBN album!
