There are some people who visit this forum who make Ric parts ... I hope somebody will chime in ....

The black option had been an upcharge for a while, something like $75. I can understand not wanting to carry inventory for all those parts, but on the other hand, I prefer the black on some finishes.

Good luck locating a bridge!

Thanks, it appears I am going to need just that... a lot of "LUCK".
There is one out there, somewhere, with my name on it.
While right now I feel undermined and overwhelmed, I am sure the past 13 months hunting will pay off...someday.

I just wish you could get the black pickguard, but keep all the other stuff as chrome. I always thought that would look sharp on a MG Ric.

I think you'll have trouble finding a bridge for the S/5 because of the tightness of the string spacing. I know of no other five that tight, so you're likely going to need to find one that's been removed from a S/5. The obvious question begs that if a bridge was removed, what was it replaced with?

You can get a bridge with spacing similar to that on the allparts web site ... but it looks nothing like the bridge .... anyway I found a basic metal plate 5 string bridge there that was about 1/8" wider ....

you will have to find one from somebody's spare parts bin, or from a dismantled bass or have one made that will fit the ric tail piece.

Jeff said "...or have one made that will fit the ric tail piece."

That's what I would do. A decent machinist can do that easily.
