Welcome to the forum Alan. What output tubes does the Carr use?

Thanks for the greeting.

The Carr Rambler comes equipped with 6L6's, but as the amp is cathode bias it will run 6V6's, KT66's, EL37's et al without re-biasing. I guess the option of 6V6 will reduce the headroom/power even more if that is what is desired.

I have a number of amps, Victoria Low Powered Twin, Kingsley Deluxe 30, Badcat Cub II as well as the Carr Rambler. IMHO my Rickenbacker sounds better suited to the EL84's of the Badcat and Kingsley amplifiers, but as Jim wanted to stick to his 'Fender' roots the Carr is a cracking amp and it still projects that 'shimmer' quality of the toasters.
