Just reading the wonderfull feedback about the 4004 II, and noticed I made a serious mistake. My red cheyenne has Flamed Maple headstock wings, not walnut. At the time of my post I was looking at my V63 sitting on a stand which caused the confusion. Sorry. One thing I would like to add though, the 4004 II has one volume and one tone control with a three position switch. In the catalog photo's one might assume a concentric type design. Its simple but works well.

I heard that Rickenbacker is now taking orders for the new Cheyenne C11 5 String Bass...
How much time it will take to produce and deliver them is another topic...
I, for one, would really like to buy one. I really hope that the 5 String version will have the same pickup with gold surrounding (can`t find the right term for that part ) like the 4 String version. It really adds to the look. Hope fully, Ric will listen to that comment.
