I think I'm going to stay with "Schrodinger's Cat Auction" for now.

Terms of auction:
Each cat is both dead and alive. Each cat comes in a box. There is a warning label on the box stating: "Do not open-this will void your warrantee as cat will be either dead or alive. We will not honor any warrantee claims if seal is broken"

Joe: Never heard of that, but there was a local band in the 1980's called 'Reverend Buck Naked And More Drunk Indians'. I once found myself sitting in traffic next to the Reverend. He was driving his Plymouth Duster that had been modified to resemble the Batmobile. The roof had been torched off, it had pointy steel tailfins added, and was painted primer black with Batman emblems on the doors. Yeehaw!

Hmmm....you know, I never thought about it before, but the juxtaposition of the two phrases makes me realize that 'buck naked' is as racist a term as 'drunk Indians'...

It would be a different matter if 'Indians' were the only people on earth who ever got drunk...

...or naked.

The real cool thing is how the name originated. It's a classic example of life imitating art, or in this case, I guess it's art imitating art.

Anyway, back in the early '60s on his show, Steve Allen did a comedy routine where he put slips of paper with adjectives in one hat, and slips with nouns in another. He would have audience members pull out one slip from each hat -- and that would be a band name. One of the combinations was Stark Naked & Car Thieves. The band took its name from that.

Hey Randy...I wasn't directing that comment at you, as I realize you were simply reporting reality...or the Reverend either, since as I said, the real meaning of that phrase only dawned on me just now.

From now on, it's 'stark naked' for me...

I play in a scottish Black Sabbath tribute band called Mac Sabbath but ocassionally we go out and do pub gigs with other 70s rock, Purple, Zeppelin etc and I came up with "Tempus Fugit" ( The Yes Tune)but the guitarist decided to change it to "Tempus Fugitus" which sounds like some kind of mexican dish.

I always remember a local band round my way when I was younger called "Richard Stilgoe's Wheelbarrow Full of Milk" which still makes me snigger when I hear it
