ya ... I might not do the horseshoe either ... it gets in the way of playing, picking, thumb slapping, and fingering ... but it looks pretty ...

It should if its a 4-2-5. Thats what the 4003S/5 had on it.

but there may be "PHASING" problems ... with 6 magnets and only 5 strings ...

It's my understanding that a toaster PU will cover 5 strings but with a possible phasing problem.

You rise upon a black day, coming from a mile away
And every time I hear you say, that I don't have to be this way
You sneak upon a mean moon, that casts it's shadow too soon
When the spell is in tune, your shadow slips away

It's here! I get to play my new 4-2-5 tomorrow at church!!!!!!

It's purtty! And with the thicker 2004 neck,it feels just like a 5 string! I have owned a few 5 strings in m,y day. I will have to get used to the slightly more narrow spacing but it's not that much different. The neck is way thicker than my 87!

I love the treble pickup surround. It is so much cleaner than the factory one without the cover....

Hey if I lived in CA I would visit your church tomorrow ... if you have a bass pod then try the brit major model with that bass ... I'm not really a flat wound guy but that bass was pretty cool with flats ... I was pretty happy with the action on that bass when I was done ...

the biggest, widest, chunkiest neck on a Ric bass is my 2020 4-2-5 ... but even then it is still slimmer than other five string basses ...
