It seems a bit odd, the only one's left are "Revolver" & "Y&T" to be re-issued. My spider sense tells me that to keep the $69 list on these, there will be a Butcher Cover re-issue stuck in there... They'll probably release "MMT" with a foldout book too, or "Let it Be" with the photos from the gatefold. I think for them to really cash in on the hype- we'd see those 80's rehashes like "Reel Music" and "Rarities."

Trust me, Volume 3, and likely the last volume, will also include Sgt Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour besides Revolver and Y&T, Don. Primarily, as I stated in a previous post, these were the last albums, along with the others, which were mastered both in mono and stereo and on Capital, and is one of the main features of these reissued Volume sets. No album after MMT came in a mono version also. And if you notice all of the Volumes have included (4) discs, as will the last one, and they are being released in chronological order, just as they were done originally on Capital, excluding The Beatles Story and AHDN (which wasn't on Capital at the onset). It's logical marketing.

I have a feeling that it will stop at Revolver. From Revolver on the albums are the same on both sides of the Atlantic. Rarities would be nice, but I could do without Reel Music. Live at the Hollywood Bowl would be the one I would like to hear.

Let it Be was also a United Artists Release, which is why the original release has a red Apple instead of a Green one.

Let's not forget about "Hey Jude" guys! This still has yet to make it's debut on CD. Granted a compilation of previously released tracks, but it sold in the millions and I love that Ethan Russel cover!

I have that same feeling Brian. I think it'll stop at Revolver. I'd be surprised if a mono MMT and Pepper get released. I think on the marketing standpoint they'd ask who would buy MMT and Pepper as the content is the same as their UK counterparts.

I think the last volume would include "Revolver" "Y&T" and probably "Hey Jude."

Maybe they'll reissue Hey Jude as The Beatles Again, which was the original album title. I also remember reading that The Beatles Again original artwork had the front and back photo's reversed.

One question about Yesterday and Today. Butcher or steamer trunk cover?

I asked Perry Cox about the audio mixes on "Y&T." He stated that he's heard that on most Orange Capitol label pressings had the correct stereo mixes. Perry is the guy the writes all those Beatles price guides. You can see him on Ebay as "PerrydCox."

You're probably right about that Don. So, the 'orange' labels are in true stereo. I have one, but never did any comparisons with the other issues. I just knew for the longest time it was the record club version that was in true stereo.
Oh yeah, very familiar with Perry Cox. Own several of his price guides. He's certainly the 'guru' when it comes to Beatles records in the U.S.! Back about 2 months ago or so, he sold an original 1968 numbered copy of the "White Album" that had been previously owned by the president of Queens Litho in New York where the printing on a good majority of Beatles albums in the sixties were printed. That copy was numbered #0000000001! It sold on Ebay for a little over $12,250!!! Pretty incredible!

I saw that. I check out his auctions every week. I remember a couple years back he listed a first state butcher "Y&T" sealed in the shrink wrap. The thing looked like it came right out of the factory. It sold for about $30K. Unfortunately, I got married.....
