Thanks! I was kinda wanting maplego too, but I've never had a fireglo RIc, and I like the look of this one.
That's a really nice looking mapleglo! Maybe if I hit the lotto I could have more than one.

I never dreamed I could have two, and then it just fell into place! I can't help but smiling when I have to decide which one to start the night with!

Mike, I watched that auction all week! I'm looking for one too, in Fireglo. I wanted to see where this one ended up since I just started looking. I may have a deal going with a fellow Forum member on one, just have to wait a week until he's back from a trip. If that falls through, I'll be back to looking. With that in mind, best of luck with this one, and lets us know EVERYTHING about it when it comes! And, if you decide it's not to your liking, and I'm still looking, please let me know!

Hey Mike,
CONGRATULATIONS!
I've only had mine about a month, but I'm crazy over her! The action is LOWER than any of my other RICS, the sound is UNREAL!
She is a 1988 and the neck is perfect for my small hands....and not to forget to mention....she is a MAPLEGLO, my all time FAVORITE!
Man, I just LOVE to see the grain in the wood!

Those FGs look very very good, guys.
Jps, do you tell people it's an original RM1999?

...sure looks like one, don't it? Except for the shape of the headstock.
Hey Ron and Mike,
I will be an Ashdown devotee in a few days! I just pulled the trigger on a MK500.

"Robert, did you say Mapleglo?"
NO FAIR!!! Why does it seem like everyone has either a V63 or an S bass except for me?

Jeffrey, I think you'll like it...I have an ABM 500 EVO-II and love the sound, and Ron has the same, I believe.

I was vascillating between the MK500 or the ABM 500RC EVO II. I decided I really don't need all the extras the EVO II has on it. For distortion I use a Sansamp GT2, which sounds awesome, much better than the SABDDI I tried a while ago.

I certainly hope Jeff doesn't vascillate on his Sansamp!!

I could do without the "subharmonizer" thing. Other than that, it's still a very straight-forward, simple kind of amp, which I really appreciate.
The one lil' ol' tube in the preamp also sounds very nice. They did a hell of a job designing these amps, IMO.

hey what happened to Walter Woods?

Walter is just fine as far as I know, I haven't spoken with him in a long time. I will use the WW unracked, the Ashdown will live in the rack.
