I've often wondered how different the locally brewed Guinness is from the authentic stuff.
I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I like Guinness, however, my bro-in-law loves beer, but hates Guinness! He was offered another after finishing his first, & it's the only time I've ever seen him turn down free beer!
As AC\DC say: have a drink on me!

It's nowhere near as good, Kevin. Guinness at the Dirty Duck in Holywood, Northern Ireland or a pub in York, England (must have been a bit legless at the time - can't remember the name.. LOL!) craps all over the local brew!!

Ours is brewed in Halifax, but also in breweries across the country that have the license.
We also have Foster's, etc. I assume that the same applies to all famous regional brews: they're made under license with a variation of the original formula

That's a great banner Kevin. You've managed to make me laugh a couple of times today.

A friend of one of the guys in the band did that one up. It's actually a T shirt, I think.
Ed Said So is our band, so he put in the Ed Says So on the bottom.
Gas went up again yesterday, so I thought it was appropriate!

Cool! That T shirt could probably make you some serious coin right now.

Reminds me of the joke about the poor fellow who drowned in a vat at the Guinness plant -he got out to pee three times!

Guinness in different countries is a totally different brew. I once had one in Memphis and it was the worst thing that I have ever tried to drink. In a good pub in England it is really nice, but it is supposed to be even better still in Dublin.
The tinned draught is also good here but the "original" bottled stuff is euch!

Hmmm... have you tried Russian-brewed Guinness, Peter?.. That's like, "the name is the same, but [the rest of the joke deleted in order to protect those who never tried Russian-brewed Guinness]".
