The only guitars I use on a regular basis now besides ricks are a Squier Affinity Tele (with Fender Custom "Nocaster" pickups) and a Squier Jagmaster (with S Duncan hb's). PW is right. Playing one first is much more important with these.

Seems you can get cases quite easily after all. While ideally try-before-you-buy is preferable, prices in UK shops mean that untried second hand eBay stuff is VERY appealing....
You guys in the US are *really* lucky you know.

The current-issue Jagmaster is Far Eastern (Indonesia? China?) and much more consistent in quality. I had one briefly last year and really liked its looks and playability. I didn't think it's LP-like tones fit the body shape.
Too much surfin' twang in my blood. Gotta have single coils if the guitar looks Jetsons...

I have a MIM Esquire, and acoustically, as well as PU wise, it's the best sounding "Tele" I've owned.I have had more Teles, as repeat aquisitions
