The one on the left (with the early pickup placement), looks like it has a black TRC.

I wonder if Paul could convert a 4004C to a LK? Hmm!

I don't think it can be done unless you re-top the bass. You would need flush edges for the binding, and the C is contoured.

...and also, the tops of the LK's were carved by hand.
