I haven't ran a date by Don Cooksey yet, but my own thoughts were to hold the MARC again in November. If this isn't a conflict with all of the parties involved, we may shoot for that time frame. I know it may be difficult to have everyone attend all of the get-togethers, so we'll see how it goes...

November should be good for me. I don’t have anything on the calendar at the moment.

As long as I'm not gigging, I'll be there, since I live in the Philly area.

I may be a rookie around these parts, but I live in B'more. What could I expect from such an event?

Roger, welcome to the forum.

You can expect to see more Ricks in one room than you probably have before. You can expect to sit down and noodle with any number of different models of Ricks, electric and acoustic, guitars and basses. You can expect to meet fellow forumites, who almost all seem to be incredibly decent people.

Finally, you can expect to change your shirt when you get home as it will be soaked with drool. At least mine was after attending MARF last year. It is an event not to be missed.

Hi Roger--

It is merely a get-together of people (mainly Forumites) who bring a few of their Rickenbackers for display and to noodle around on, usually some amps show up as well. It is a fun time for sure, and we hope to have another one later this year, possibly November...just check in right here for any updates.

Thanks for the info. I will have to keep myself updated. I have a few Ricks to bring along for the ride.

There were around 112 Rick instruments there last time around of all vintages from the '50s through current included many one offs, prototypes and other very special instruments!!! Eye boggling for sure.

Depending on the gig situation, I'm close enough (2 hrs.) to Philly to make a go of it. Hope I can pull it off!

Hey guys,

Are any plans in the works? Since I can't make it to the RIC shindig, I figure this would be the next best thing....

Michael: We are 'in the throws' of discussing it as we speak, and hope to make an announcement soon, probably after the RIC 75th event.
