Holy Moley Batman seems like 5,000 was yesterday.
You certainly are an asset to this Forum Paul. BTW ,this time flying thing has been a topic recently at my office. The busier you are the more it seems it flys by as opposed to a childs perspective of time draggin by soooo slooow, as in my youngest son's I can't wait till um 16 and can git my drivers license. I remember saying the same thing at his age and now look I be 50 and I want my 360-12c63 time is goin sooo sloooow.

I have non-scientific pseudo space-time theories floating around in my head, too...one of them is that the smaller a creature is, the faster time passes (in general). Hence, smaller animals live shorter lives. To take this to ridiculous lengths (or their inverse), for an ant to walk a mile takes a lifetime, for a human it takes a half-hour, etc.

When we have less to do, time seems to drag.

When we're busy, there's never enough time.

Boredom is a form of anxiety, I've found.

When we can remain calm while inactive, and yet be surrounded by a frantic world, we've found one way to take a brief respite without putting money into the pocket of yet another industry, who then will rush us halfway around the globe in a frantic quest for quietude, the onset of which we then attempt to accelerate through the indulgence in liquid intoxicants, which only serve to dull our appreciation for the world around us and, in extreme cases, lead to bent metal and memory loss.

That was a textbook example of a run-on sentence.

Where was I?

Oh, incidentally, 5,000 was sometime late last November.

Let's see, the bigger I get, the longer I live? Pass the M&M's please!

Paul, I think you are on to something with your theory. In March I spent a week in Florida on a "vacation". It hit me like a brick upon my return, all the time, energy and resources required to arrange this so called vacation down time was askew. It would have been much more advantageous to just take a week to do nothing but what I please at home.

There were more bikini's in Florida, but they do nothing to induce a calmness in me. I can never find one that fits.

Not too far from truth, i mean the theory about the creature's size and time... The smaller the creature is, the faster its heart beats, and the faster metabolism is. A year of dog's life is equated with 6 or 8 years of a human. Not to mention they grow faster: 1 year old dog is a grown up, while 1 year old human is a toddler... Something like that...

Ah but does the same theory hold true for bikinis. Does a smaller bikini actually move through time faster?

Enquiring minds want to know!

No, but there is a direct correlation between their size and the likelihood that they'll wind up becoming a crumbled heap on the floor...

Congrats Paul

and to think that I have probably read every one of your posts. Hmmm? I must have too much time on my hands.

Oh yes! and they were all interesting. Even the ones that were so beautifully crafted that they smacked me between the eyes. LOL

Keep up the good work.

Congrats Paul - with 7500+ posts one would think you waste a lot of time on the internet but every one of those posts proves otherwise.

"Boredom is a form of anxiety, I've found."

Now there is a real gem for us all to ponder. I've made full attempts in my life to take down-time as a gift and enjoy the art of doing nothing. Not always successfully but a goal to strive for.

Like all those before me Paul, well done in your most informative posts.

So as a guess I'd say by mid August - 10,000? Now that's a huge number! Keep em coming

If it's going to be mid August, maybe Paul and I can post a pic of us together for his 10,000th. Image
