At least one of Henry's guitars has the '80s McGuinn circuit. I think. Maybe. I'll ask him.

I didn't realise it was such an old thread?? Would the old voxtalk thread have long gone? Anybody remember any details of what was discussed?

There have been some real doozies through the years no doubt. Most of the threads dealt with how many were made, where are they now, is this one/that one the real thing etc....

When the Ornythologist put FF 1849 on ebay for the first time, that was a peppy thread, LOL. I printed that one out for posterity.

I think that the threads Graham refers to are part of the ages now...I don't think Nick is keeping things that far back...

Vox Talks archives are found here:

http://www.voxtalks.com/index2.html

Hit the Archives button, there are over 350,000 posts located off of those archives links. There were 29,000 posts lost at the end the year 2000. Otherwise everything is still located on line for the public.

GG, look in the year 2003, use "Orny" as your search, select all of the boards, you'll find lots of stuff in there about Byrds guitars.

The truly great thing about the web, whatever your passion, has been the accelerated ability to acquire knowledge and more importantly to use it.
I have learnt more about Rickenbacker in the last five years through this medium than in the previous twenty. It feels like I've acquired an extended family too.
Like a lot of things in life, we look back in perspective. Even though we may occasionally cringe, the overall process has been one of purpose and hopefully fulfillment...

I spoke with Henry about placing his guitar in our auction with his dad's 370-12, but unfortunately we weren't able to come to an agreement as to it's likely selling price.
