Yeah that is a nice color, I like it a lot. I wouldn't mind buying a fretted 4003 that color. Too bad they butchered the treble pickup area.

Hi Everybody ( Hi Dr Nick )

This is indeed my bass.

It came from the factory this colour. I only played one gig with it before the smoking ban came into effect in Scotland so it is as good as the day I bought it and the case smells of that lovely maple syrup.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm syrup.

The only reason I am selling it is that I have trouble with the lack of forearm contour on the front of the body.

It is a shame to sell it because it does play very well and looks so cool.

I fitted a genuine modern toaster in place of the neck high-gain, added a vintage pickguardian pickguard and a ditto treble pickup surround and the obligatory Rotosound RS66s.

It does not have a single scratch, mark, blemish or anything. It is as perfect as it left the factory.

man, I really do not want to sell this but I need something with a forearm contour - I got up on Sunday morning after playing a 3.5hr gig and felt like I had arthritis.

Absolutely nothing to do with the bass but rather my heavy aggressive style (think flea on PCP)

Any alternatives would be welcome - preferrably Ricks - perhaps a 2030, 4002 or 3001 (bearing in mind that I am in the UK).

I had thought about a Fender Geddy Lee but I have enjoyed my Ricks so much I would hate to leave the exclusive owners club
