I thought '68 4001 reissue was also taboo.

Rereading the above, maybe she was trying to tell me something! :D

Oh, and XM Deep Tracks just played Smoke on the Water - by Pat Boone!! His usual style too - think Hollywood or Las Vegas. First time I understood all the words as they were sung! :D

Ricks setup best when the necks are as straight as they can be. Action height is really a personal preference. I like it low. I usually check the action at the 20th fret once the neck is set straight. My basses are usually around 4/64" - 5/64" at the 20th. The action height down the neck will vary from bass to bass depending on the depth of the nut slots and the quality of the fret work.
