Okay. Maybe I'm laboring under a severe delusion here, but I've always associated the name John Birch with quality guitars. Am I right or am I wrong? The above double neck looks very cheap. Probably a very early JB. The fact that I don't take kindly to copies is unimportant. I'm just curious as to whether or not there are quality JB guitars & basses. Please enlighten me, anyone.

John Birch made guitars for:
Brian May (the first 'red special' replica)
Roy Orbison
Black Sabbath

Roy Wood
Wizzard
The Glitter Band (the star shaped guitar)
Mud (the heart shaped guitar)
Ritchie Blackmore
Slade (the Superyob and several others)
and many other people..

Have a look at this amazing bass, made when Jim Lea's EB3 was stolen from JB's workshop.

There's a guy in America trying to buy up his original guitars (and many of us trying to keep them all here!!
I know the guy who's selling this one and am not passing his details on!!

Many thanks, Ian. Now I see John did build some quality guitars and basses. I didn't know he had passed away though.
